Girl who wrote her 4 papers with the help of a writer from the hospital bed

Aneri Rathod, 17 years old, Sydenham College, Commerce Stream

Aneri Rathod is an illustration for all those students who have given up on life just because they couldn’t live up to their and others expectations or who didn’t fair very great in the exams. This girl is full of grit and fought all odds to clear her 12th standard boards with first class (65%).

A very sad thing happened with her. Throughout the year she was all fit and fine and so was she full of excitement on first day of boards as a tiring year was coming to an end. But the excitement went dull in the coming few hours. On the second day of her paper that is on 25th February Aneri experienced severe stomach pain and could not even sit properly.

When they approached the doctor it was brought to their notice that she had an intestinal obstruction which needs to be operated that time itself or would cause problems in future.

On the same day at midnight Aneri was operated upon. The family somehow didn’t care about the exams in front of their loved daughter’s health. However Aneri was very determined. With all the pipes attached to her body and her degrading health all she wanted was to give her exams and not waste a year.

So looking at her daughter’s desire Aneri’s Mom approached the college and then Maharashtra Board and within 5 minutes after the discussion they were granted permission to provide a writer for Aneri. Finally Shweta Shettigar was the writer for Aneri. Without studying from the hospital Aneri gave her remaining all papers with the help of the writer.

“We are very grateful to Dr. Shridhar Salunke the chair person of Maharashtra Board, Professors Pradeep Saraswat and Gadhwe of Sydenham College and all others who stood by us during this time of difficulty” says Jyoti Rathod Aneri’s mother. “In the time of student difficulty the board is always ready to help you, you only need to approach the right people” is a small advice from Khushbu Aneri’s sister.
“In my bad times everyone stood by me and made me realize that I should be a fighter and hence I am highly grateful to my family, college, Maharashtra board and all my well wishers.” Her friends say that Aneri has always been into curriculars and so also excellent in her academics and now she has done one more extraordinary thing. Aneri wants to pursue BMS hereafter and we wish her all the good luck for the same.
